Why did my doctor give me Celebrex for my headaches?

I have really bad headaches that last for hours, sometimes even 5 hours. Usually when I take Excedrin to help but ultimately did not and I went to my doctor and gave me Celebrex and told me to take 1 a day. Celebrex is an anti-inflammatory drugs. You answered your own question. Celebrex is an antiinflammatory, just like Aleve or Motrin, only it’s supposed to be easier on the stomach.

I don’t know why Dr.’s are giving anyone Celebrex for anything anymore. More check out this link before taking any more.
There are many more sites that tell of the dangers of celebrex.

celebrex is an anti inflammatory. that is the same as aleve, motrin, etc. some headaches respond to these medications. i have taken many different meds for my migraines and some of them are not related to migraines. some dr/researchers find that drugs have more than one condition they can treat. at least try it you never know.
